The Art...

Fusion by Fire -- The early Egyptians first developed the fused glass process, an art lost for centuries.  Dichroic glass, consisting of multiple glass layers, is kiln-fired to temperatures of up to 1600 degrees.  Mineral deposits on the glass layers are fused, producing mirror-like reflections and iridescent "eye-catching"colors.  The process is lengthy, but the spectacular results are well worth the effort.  Each piece is a one-of-a-kind original creation.

The Artists...
Val Dellas, Jan Brunory, Judy Phillips
Friends of 30 years, Judy, Jan and Val became intrigued with glass a few years ago, when Judy received stained glass classes as a birthday gift.  Intrigue became obsession.  Combining their talents to create original pieces, not patterned work, Pane In The Glass Studio was born, with Val as designer, and Judy and Jan as glass artisans.

While initially offering custom stained glass for homes and offices, the trio began using stained glass as a creative media to create jewelry boxes, art print and mirror frames, and other "accessories."  Their infatuation with stained glass led to discovering the revival of the dichroic glass process, and a new line of jewelry was FIRED UP.
